Founded on October 18, 1890, Windhoek became the capital of Germany's Southwest Africa in 1892. It was occupied by South Africa during the First World War and became the capital of Namibia after its independence in 1990. The city retains three medieval German style castles. The famous cultural and historical museum is located in an ancient castle. There are several hot springs flowing nearby, so this place is called "Agams" in ancient times, which means "hot water". It is the industrial and commercial center and transportation hub of Namibia. The livestock products trade is very prosperous, and it is the world famous Karakul lambskin distribution center. At the same time, the textile and food processing industries are also very developed.

The Parliament Garden was once the Tintenpalast of the colonial government building in South Africa, but now it has become the Parliament Garden and Parliament Building in Namibia. The Congress Garden is planted with a variety of African flowers, aloes, palm trees, etc., which are colorful. The small lizards and other wild animals that appear from time to time in the flowers are full of vitality. The most friendly part of the Congress Garden is that when there is no leader to hold a meeting, the garden will be open to the public for free. Therefore, Namibians who come here to hold weddings and take wedding photos are often seen on weekends.
