Patagonia has a harsh climate and is known as the "terroir plateau". Affected by the narrow continental area, the leeward position of the Andes, and the coastal Falkland cold current, the desert reaches the east coast, but the continental characteristics are not very strong, and there is no extreme low temperature and high temperature in winter and summer.
The average temperature in July is 0℃~4℃, and the average temperature in January is 12℃~20℃. Precipitation is sparse, with an average annual precipitation of no more than 300mm in the whole region, and a decreasing trend from west to east. The wind is strong, often blowing a gust of wind with a speed of more than 110km per hour, and the dust storm is constant.
