President Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Brazil are good friends and partners who share the same aspirations and move forward together. Last April, President Lula and I reached an important consensus on leading the opening of a new era and a new future for China Brazil relations. Over the past year, with the joint efforts of both sides, the strategic mutual trust between the two countries has been continuously deepened, practical cooperation has been continuously promoted, and close cooperation in international settings has not only promoted their respective development, but also effectively safeguarded the common interests of developing countries.

President Xi Jinping emphasizes that the world is currently facing unprecedented changes. As a major developing country and an important emerging market country, China and Brazil share broad common strategic interests. The relationship between the two countries goes far beyond bilateral scope and has exemplary significance in promoting unity and cooperation among developing countries and world peace and stability. Both sides should grasp the strategic nature of their relationship, enhance its mutual benefit, demonstrate its comprehensiveness, continuously strengthen strategic cooperation, and endow China Brazil friendship with new era connotations. China is willing to continue to uphold the pioneering spirit of being the first with Brazil, make a strategic plan for bilateral relations with a more forward-looking perspective, define the long-term goal of building a community of shared future between China and Brazil, give full play to the role of the China Brazil high-level coordination and cooperation committee, consolidate cooperation in traditional fields, expand cooperation in emerging fields such as green economy, digital economy and innovation, and strengthen the docking of the Belt and Road initiative with Brazil's development strategies such as "reindustrialization" and "South American integration route". Taking the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity, we will comprehensively strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as legislative bodies, political parties, local governments, culture, education, tourism, youth, etc., to gather more friendly forces and provide more strong support for China Brazil cooperation. China supports Brazil to play a greater role on the international stage, supports Brazil in hosting this year's G20 Leaders Summit, and is willing to closely communicate with all parties of the Latin American Community, including Brazil, to further develop China Latin America relations in the new era.
Geraldo Alckmin conveyed President Lula's warm greetings to President Xi Jinping and expressed that yesterday, Vice President Han Zheng and I successfully chaired the seventh meeting of the Brazil China High Level Coordination and Cooperation Committee, achieving positive results. In recent years, hundreds of millions of Chinese people have lifted themselves out of poverty, which can be considered a world miracle. The relevant experience has important reference significance for Brazil. The Brazilian government is committed to achieving inclusive and sustainable growth, and is willing to strengthen development strategy coordination with China. We welcome more Chinese enterprises to invest in Brazil, strengthen cooperation in infrastructure construction, agriculture, minerals, new energy vehicles, and addressing climate change. Both Brazil and China are committed to defending multilateralism and free trade, sharing the same philosophy on many important issues, with enormous potential for cooperation and broad prospects. The Brazili side is willing to take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as a new starting point, work together with China, closely cooperate in bilateral and multilateral strategies, elevate bilateral relations to new heights, and contribute to building a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world.
Wang Yi attended the meeting.
