President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan's state guest convoy slowly drove into the inner courtyard of the Buda Palace under the protection of the Hungarian protocol horse team. President Tamas Sulyok and his wife, Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his wife warmly welcomed them.

The two heads of state jointly stepped onto the reviewing platform, and the military band played the national anthems of China and Hungary. President Xi Jinping reviewed the National Defense Force Honor Guard and Cavalry Honor Guard accompanied by President Tamas Sulyok. The leaders of both countries shook hands and exchanged greetings with each other's accompanying personnel.

After the welcome ceremony, President Xi Jinping and his wife bid farewell to President Tamas Sulyok and his wife, Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his wife, and made plans to meet separately later to jointly plan the future of China Hungary relations.
