Recently, a symposium and exchange meeting between the Suzhou Municipal People's Government and the Kirovsk Municipal Government was held at the Hilton Yilin Hotel. Currently, China Russia relations are at their best in history. After signing the letter of intent to establish a friendly city relationship, the two cities will further deepen communication and exchange, and jointly seek cooperation points in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, technology, culture, education, sports, etc., to discuss new opportunities for development.

Suzhou, abbreviated as "Qi" and also known as Qicheng or Sucheng, is a city under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province. Located in the northeast of Anhui Province, it is an important node of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and the Central Plains Economic Zone. It is also a city in the Su Huai Beng metropolitan area and Su Huai urban agglomeration, and one of the central cities in Anhui Province. It is a civilized city, national garden city, national smart city, national tennis city, livable city, and an important transportation hub in Anhui Province. Suzhou is adjacent to the coast and backed by the Central Plains. It is the northern gateway of Anhui Province and is known as Xunan Xingsheng, the first state in Huainan, the city of strange stones, the hometown of circus, and the capital of pear trees. To the east is Suqian and Xuzhou, to the west is Shangqiu and Huaibei, to the north is Heze, and to the south is Bengbu.

Due to its unique geographical location, Suzhou has become an important comprehensive transportation hub for water, land, and air in East China. It is known as the "hub of boats and cars, and the thoroughfare of Jiuzhou". The national four vertical and four horizontal Beijing Shanghai and Zhengzhou Xuzhou high-speed railways intersect and have stations within its borders. It is the city closest to the sea outlet in Anhui Province, with Suzhou Port passing through Hongze Lake to various port cities in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. 

Suzhou is a historical and cultural city in Anhui Province, with a history of 8000 years, including the Xiaoshankou Site and the ancient Tai Temple Site. During the Zhou Dynasty, Qiyi was first established. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Suzhou was established due to the opening of the Tongji Canal (Bianshui), making it an important birthplace of Chu Han culture and Huai River culture. Suzhou has over 40000 painters and is a famous calligraphy city. In 2015, the China Performing Arts Group Alliance was established in Suzhou.

Suzhou, known as the Cloud Capital, has the largest cloud computing data center and CG animation cluster rendering base in East China. It is the fifth quantum communication node city in China after Beijing, Shanghai, Hefei, and Jinan.
