First of all, on behalf of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, I would like to extend my best wishes for the holiday! New Year's greetings to the people of all ethnic groups and compatriots in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region, Taiwan and overseas Chinese!　

The upcoming Year of the Rabbit is the opening year of fully implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In the face of the extremely complex international environment and the arduous task of reform, development and stability, we have taken solid steps on the new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way.　　

Over the past year, we have fully implemented the new development concept, adhered to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, decisively implemented the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, and promoted the recovery and development of the economy. The total economic volume exceeded 126 trillion yuan, the total grain production hit a new high, and the overall stability of employment and prices. Looking at the world, it is still "the scenery is unique". Scientific and technological innovation has achieved new breakthroughs, and the formation of new quality productivity has been accelerated. The reform and opening up has been deepening, and the new round of reform of the party and state institutions has been basically completed. The ecological environment continues to improve. New steps have been taken in the modernisation of national Defence and the army. Successfully held the Chengdu Universiade and the Hangzhou Asian Games, and China's athletes have achieved good results. We will deeply promote the comprehensive and rigourous governance of the party and the fight against corruption, and constantly consolidate a good political ecology.

We adhere to the people first, strive to protect and improve people's livelihood, continue to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation, solve the people's urgent problems with heart and soul, make every effort to deal with natural disasters and promote post-disaster recovery and construction, and maintain stability in the overall social situation.　

We actively support Hong Kong and Macao to better integrate into the overall situation of national development, resolutely oppose the separatist act of "Taiwan independence" and the interference of external forces, and vigourously safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests. Solidly promote the great-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, add certainty and positive energy to the intertwined world, and show the responsibility of promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
