In recent years, bilateral relations have developed in depth, and the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and exchanges and cooperation in various fields have yielded fruitful results. Under the new situation, the relationship between China and Maldives faces a historical opportunity to connect the past and open up the future. President Mohamed Muizzu stated that I am honored to conduct my first state visit to China with several important cabinet ministers, becoming the first foreign head of state to be received by China this year. This fully reflects the high importance that both sides attach to the development of Maldives China relations. Maldives firmly adheres to the One China policy. Firmly supporting each other in safeguarding national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity is a solid foundation for the sustained and sound development of Maldives relations. This year marks the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping's historic state visit to Maldives. China has provided a lot of valuable help for the economic and social development of Maldives. The cooperation between Maldives and China, especially the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", has benefited the people of Maldives. The friendship bridge between Maldives and China has become a symbol of friendship between the two peoples. During my visit to Fujian, I witnessed firsthand the tremendous achievements in China's development and felt firsthand the outstanding leadership of President Xi Jinping. Maldives looks forward to taking the opportunity of building a comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation to further expand new channels of bilateral cooperation, increase the new connotation of bilateral relations, promote high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road", promote more new development of relations between Maldives and China, and create more benefits for the two peoples. We welcome the positive measures taken by China to promote cultural exchanges and look forward to more Chinese tourists visiting the Maldives. The Maldives supports President Xi Jinping's global development initiative, global security initiative, and global civilization initiative, and is willing to closely communicate and cooperate with China in international and regional affairs to strengthen mutual support.

After the talks, the two heads of state jointly witnessed the signing of a number of bilateral cooperation documents on the action plan for building a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Maldives, as well as the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", disaster management, economic technology, blue economy, digital economy, green development, infrastructure and people's livelihood.
