President Xi Jinping pointed out that since the end of last year, China Europe relations have shown a good momentum of consolidation and development, and high-level dialogues in strategic, economic and trade, green, and digital fields have achieved rich results, which is in line with the interests of both sides and the expectations of the people. China and Europe are the two major forces driving multipolarity, the two markets supporting globalization, and the two civilizations advocating diversity. In the current turbulent international situation, China Europe relations have strategic significance and global influence, and are related to world peace, stability, and prosperity. Both sides have a responsibility to jointly provide more stability to the world and more impetus for development.

President Xi Jinping emphasized that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the European Union. Both side Both sides should summarize historical experience, grasp the global trend, and adhere to the correct positioning of comprehensive strategic partnership. Both sides need to consolidate their political foundation, adhere to a strategic perspective, play a leading role in leadership meetings and the five high-level dialogues, strengthen strategic communication, and use constructive dialogue to enhance understanding and properly resolve differences. Both sides should establish a correct understanding, enhance mutual trust and understanding, adhere to righteousness, and develop their relationship wholeheartedly. They should not view each other as opponents just because of different systems, reduce cooperation just because of competition, or engage in confrontation just because of differences. The economies of China and Europe are highly complementary, and both sides need to add more to strengthen the bond of the community of interests between China and Europe through deeper and broader cooperation. China's economic growth maintains a stable and positive momentum. China is promoting high-quality development and high-level opening up, and is willing to regard the European Union as a key partner in economic and trade cooperation, a priority partner in scientific and technological cooperation, and a trustworthy partner in industrial and supply chain cooperation, pursuing mutual benefit and win-win results, and achieving common development. Both sides should strengthen the complementarity of market, capital, and technological advantages, promote the upgrading of traditional industries and the development of emerging industries, explore new models of cooperation, create new growth points, and work together to improve the industrial and supply chains. Both sides also need to strengthen cultural exchanges and facilitate personnel exchanges.

President Xi Jinping emphasized that Chinese path to modernization and European integration are strategic choices made by China and Europe with a view to the future. China and Europe should respect and support each other, strengthen the docking of development strategies, and achieve common development. The "Belt and Road" initiative is an open platform that has brought tangible benefits to more than 150 countries and people in the world. A gift of roses leaves a lingering fragrance in one's hand. China is willing to continue to promote high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road", including docking with the EU's "Global Gateway" plan, and work together to help developing countries accelerate development. Both sides should strengthen communication and coordination within multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations and the G20, adhere to multilateralism, oppose factional confrontation, promote political solutions to international and regional hot issues, engage in dialogue and cooperation on major issues related to the future of humanity, such as artificial intelligence, and contribute to enhancing the well-being of all humanity and addressing global challenges.

Michel and von der Leyen said that the EU and China are two major forces in the world, important economic and trade partners of each other, and their cooperation fields are increasingly extensive. The cooperation between Europe and China is mutually beneficial and equal. Managing and developing the relationship between Europe and China directly concerns the interests of both peoples, as well as the prosperity and security of the world. The European side attaches great importance to its relationship with China and does not want to decouple from China. It looks forward to developing a long-term, stable, predictable, and sustainable relationship with China and hopes to inject new impetus into the future development of EU China relations through this meeting of EU China leaders. The European side is pleased with the achievements of the high-level dialogue between Europe and China in various fields since the beginning of this year, and believes that the long-term stable development of the Chinese economy is in line with European interests. It hopes that both sides will continue to strengthen dialogue and cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, green, and digital, work together to maintain the stability and security of the supply chain and industrial chain, and strengthen dialogue on major global issues related to climate change and artificial intelligence, seeking cooperation. The EU adheres to the One China policy. The European side is willing to strengthen communication and enhance understanding with the Chinese side on issues of differences in a spirit of mutual respect and openness. Europe and China share common responsibilities and interests for world peace and stability. The EU is willing to closely communicate and cooperate with China, uphold multilateralism, uphold the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, and promote the resolution of hot issues in Ukraine, the Middle East, and other regions.
