Dhaka

Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh. It is also the capital of Dhaka and the national political, economic and cultural center. Dhaka has a long history. Founded in the 15th century, it was a commercial and academic center in the early 20th century. In 1947, it became the capital of East Bengal Province. Dhaka has developed transportation and is a national railway, highway and inland river shipping hub. It has air links with places such as Chittagong in China and abroad.



Dhaka University is the oldest and largest university in Bangladesh. Founded in 1921, it was once known as "Oxford in the East". The pink palace of Ahsan Manzil was a private residence rebuilt by Nawab Abdul Ghani, a landlord, on the basis of the warehouses left by the French in 1872. Later, it was hit by a tornado, but it was more spectacular after the government rebuilt in 1980. Now it is a museum. There are 23 exhibition rooms on the second floor. You can see the luxurious life of those Tu emperors who were called Raj at that time through the living objects and photos. Walk down the pink palace of Aksanmanzil and you will arrive at Dhaka Wharf.











The Bangladesh National Museum is located next to Dhaka University and on Shahbag Road. The museum is divided into three layers and contains a large number of interesting collections, including Hindu sculptures and paintings, Buddhist and Muslim periods, as well as various inscriptions, cultural relics and treasures of the ancient royal dynasty in Bangladesh.









Bangladesh National Martyrs' Memorial is located in Savar Industrial Zone (Sava Industrial Zone in Dhaka), about 35 kilometers northwest of Dhaka. This monument is mainly a symbol of brave and sacrificed martyrs, who sacrificed their lives to liberate Bangladesh. The monument is mainly composed of seven triangular surfaces, the highest one has the smallest foundation, and the lowest one has the largest foundation. The highest and lowest cases are similar to the standing state for the high ones and the prone state for the low ones. The highest part of the monument is about 150 feet, about 45 meters high, about the height of a 12 story building.







The Bayt Mukalam Mosque was founded in 1960.
