In today's world, openness and integration are the trend, and openness is a clear symbol of contemporary China. Over the past 45 years of reform and opening up, China has always adhered to the basic national policy of opening up to the outside world. In the critical period of entering the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernized power, implementing a more proactive and high-level strategy of opening up to the outside world, deeply participating in global industrial division of labor and value chain cooperation, continuously enhancing the linkage effect of domestic and international markets and resources, and striving to build a new pattern of opening up to the outside world with larger scope, wider fields, and deeper levels, is of great significance for us to achieve high-quality development and construct a new development pattern.

Promoting reform and development through opening up is an important weapon for China to continuously achieve new achievements in the past decade, especially in the new era. Faced with new changes and requirements in global economic and trade investment, China has further benchmark the current system of rules and actively expanded and constructed a high standard free trade zone for the world. It has become a major trading partner of more than 140 countries and regions, signed 19 free trade agreements with 26 countries and regions around the world, and solidly promoted the construction of 21 pilot free trade zones and Hainan free trade port; By building exhibition platforms such as the China International Import and Export Fair, the Service Trade Fair, and the Consumer Expo, we will continue to optimize the market and business environment for fair competition, promote the establishment of a domestic reform mechanism that is in line with international economic and trade investment rules, and accelerate the construction of new highlands for opening up and international cooperation in inland and border areas.

China's development cannot be separated from the world, and the development of the world requires China even more. As a major initiative to promote high-level opening up in the new era, China has signed more than 200 cooperation documents with 151 countries and 32 international organizations and formed more than 3000 cooperation projects since the implementation of the "the Belt and Road" initiative 10 years ago. Relying on numerous iconic projects, China has established a new system of policy communication, facility connectivity, smooth trade, financial integration, and people-to-people connectivity with regions and countries along the route, actively leveraging each other's complementary advantages and striving to improve the level of common development. By the end of last year, Chinese enterprises had invested 397.9 billion yuan in cooperation zones built in countries along the "the Belt and Road", creating 421000 local jobs.

During his recent visit to Guangzhou, General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that China's reform and opening-up policy will remain unchanged for a long time and will never close the door of opening up by itself. In the face of unilateralism and anti-globalization trends in the post-epidemic era, we should continue to promote high-level opening up to the outside world, and strive to contribute more open, global and shared public products that cross geographical restrictions, break through cultural differences, and integrate development needs, in order to maintain a diversified and stable international economic pattern and reconstruct The open and inclusive world economic order puts forward the China plan, and constantly provides new opportunities for world development with the new achievements of Chinese-style modernization.
