On the afternoon of November 28, President Xi Jinping held talks with Mongolian President, who came to China for a state visit in the Great Hall of the People.

President Xi Jinping welcomed President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsuk 's visit to China. President Xi Jinping pointed out that we met again as scheduled every two months, which fully reflected the high level of Sino-Mongolian relations. China and Mongolia are important neighbors, and it is in the fundamental interests of the two peoples to maintain long-term stable good-neighborly, friendly and cooperative relations between China and Mongolia. China adheres to the concept of sincerity and tolerance and the foreign policy of friendship with neighbors and neighboring, and attaches great importance to deepening the friendship, mutual trust and integration of interests between China and Mongolia. The two sides joined hands to fight the epidemic, watched and helped each other, and carried forward the traditional friendship. Exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in various fields have continued to be deepened and practical, setting an example of state-to-state exchanges. In the face of the rising international environment of instability and uncertainty, China is willing to take the leadership of building a community with a shared future for the two countries to promote the stable and long-term comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia, so as to better benefit the two peoples.

President Xi Jinping introduced the relevant situation of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the five characteristics of Chinese modernization, and pointed out that the Communist Party of China united and led the people of all ethnic groups to comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese modernization, which will not only realize China's own prosperity and development, but also make China's development benefit the surroundings and even the world. China and Mongolia can work hand in hand on the road of national rejuvenation and national modernization, create a model of integrated development, common destiny and common destiny, and jointly contribute to promoting the construction of a new type of international relationship and building a community with a shared future for mankind.

President Xi Jinping stressed that China and Mongolia are willing to respect each other's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, respect each other's chosen development path, and support each other on issues involving each other's core interests and major concerns. The two sides should strengthen dialogue and cooperation between departments and at all levels, exchanges and mutual learning in governance, promote the connection between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Grassland Road Initiative, the Global Development Initiative and Mongolia's "New Rejuvenation Policy", and China's "Two-step" development strategy goals with Mongolia's "Vision 2050" long-term development policy. Through these three The engine injects strong impetus into the deepening and development of Sino-Mongolian relations. China is willing to expand cooperation with Mongolia in key areas such as economy and trade, energy and mining, and interconnection, and expand cooperation in information technology, deep processing of livestock products and other fields. The competent authorities of the two countries should continue to closely connect, open a new channel for interconnection as soon as possible, and actively promote the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor and the laying of the China-Russia natural gas pipeline through Mongolia. China appreciates Mongolia's plan to plant 1 billion trees and is willing to discuss with Mongolia the establishment of a China-Mongolian desertification prevention and control cooperation center. The two sides will also strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the legislature, the government, political parties, local and other departments, science and technology, education, health, tourism, media, youth, humanities and other fields, so as to help China-Mongolian friendship consolidate its foundation and benefit the people of the two countries. China is willing to actively support the construction of Mongolian Youth Sports Center and other projects to create a new landmark for China-Mongolia friendship.

President Xi Jinping stressed that China and Mongolia are both developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region and have broad common interests in international and regional affairs. China is willing to coordinate closely with Mongolia to jointly defend true multilateralism, resist camp confrontation, and safeguard the unity and cooperation of the international community.

President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsuk said that I would like to congratulate President Xi Jinping on his re-election to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, China has successfully achieved its first centennial goal, and Mongolia is happy about it. Mongolia firmly believes that General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Communist Party of China will continue to lead the Chinese people to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way as scheduled. China Mongolia relations is a permanent neighbor connected by mountains and rivers. It is a good neighbor, good friend and good partner. In the face of the COVID-19 epidemic, the two sides support and help each other and jointly meet global challenges, which vividly reflects "see the truth in adversity". Mongolia is willing to have close political exchanges with China, firmly support each other, respect each other's chosen development path, and deepen Mongolia-China's iron friendship. I would like to reiterate that Mongolia firmly adheres to the one-China policy, which will not change in any way. China is a peace-loving country. It has never invaded other countries in history, and sincerely helps other countries develop. The global development initiative and global security initiative proposed by China are related to human peace and development, and Mongolia fully supports it. We are willing to strengthen strategic docking with China, jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative, expand and deepen cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, investment, mineral energy, infrastructure, climate change response, green development, desert prevention and control, and promote the construction of the China-Mongolian-Russia economic corridor. The current international and regional situation is undergoing profound and complex evolution. We should carry forward Asian values and jointly maintain peace, stability and development in Asia. Mongolia highly values China's positive contribution to the maintenance of world peace, stability and development and the international system with the United Nations at its core, and is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with China in international affairs and contribute to the maintenance of regional peace and development.

The two sides issued the Joint Statement of the People's Republic of China and Mongolia on Promoting Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the New Era, and unanimously agreed to work together to promote modernization and make efforts towards building a community with a shared future of the two countries for peaceful coexistence, watch and help each other, and win-win cooperation.

After the talks, the two heads of state witnessed the signing of a number of bilateral cooperation documents on economy and trade, investment, customs and desertification control.

Before the talks, President Xi Jinping held a welcoming ceremony for President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsuk in the north hall of the Great Hall of the People. 21 salutes were fired in Tiananmen Square. The heads of state of the two countries boarded the inspection platform to inspect the honor guard of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

After the meeting, President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan held a welcome banquet for President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsuk and his wife Paulărzetzeg.
