On the morning of June 27th, Premier Li Qiang attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the 2023 Summer Davos Forum in Tianjin. President Schwab of the World Economic Forum, Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Mongolian Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene, Prime Minister of New Zealand Chris Hipkins, Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh, Director General of the Director-General of the World Trade Organization Ivera, and about 1500 representatives from all walks of life from more than 90 countries and regions attended the meeting.

Premier Li Qiang stated that in the past few years, the world we live in has undergone significant changes due to the interweaving and overlapping of the century long pandemic and century long changes. Having experienced tangible and intangible barriers, we should value communication and exchange more, promote a deeper understanding of each other among different countries, ethnic groups, and civilizations, and further strengthen dialogue, bridge differences, and enhance consensus. Having experienced the impact of global crises, we should cherish unity and cooperation more, further establish the concept of win-win cooperation, work together to address global challenges, and jointly promote the progress of human civilization. Having experienced the twists and turns of economic globalization, we should cherish openness and sharing more, firmly build an open world economy, and make the achievements of economic globalization more equitable and benefit different countries and populations. Having experienced the unease brought about by conflicts and turbulence, we should cherish peace and stability even more.

Premier Li Qiang pointed out that in today's world, what is lacking is communication rather than estrangement, cooperation rather than confrontation, openness rather than isolation, and peace rather than conflict. Under the guidance of the concept of building a Community of Common Destiny proposed by President Xi Jinping, we should jointly implement the global development initiative, the global security initiative, and the global civilization initiative, so as to better advance in the logic of historical progress, develop in the trend of the times, and strive to build a better world.

Premier Li Qiang stated that in the past decade, China has been an important driving force for stable growth of the world economy, playing an important "ballast stone" role in promoting international free trade and stabilizing world economic growth. In the longer term, China will continue to provide strong momentum for global economic recovery and growth, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation opportunities for investors from all countries.

Premier Li Qiang emphasized that the theme of this annual conference is "Entrepreneurial spirit: driving force of the world economy", which has strong practical relevance. We are willing to work with entrepreneurs from various countries to firmly support economic globalization, safeguard the market economy, support free trade, and lead the world economy towards a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future.
