President Xi Jinping pointed out that next year we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Gabon. Both sides firmly support each other, safeguarding the common interests of both countries and international fairness and justice. China is a sincere friend of Gabon. President Xi Jinping emphasized that China is comprehensively promoting high-quality development and Chinese path to modernization, and Gabon is also actively committed to achieving the strategic goal of building an "emerging Gabon" at an early date. China is willing to strengthen the exchange of experience in governance and governance with Gabon, deepen strategic mutual trust, and firmly support each other on issues related to each other's core interests and major concerns. After the talks, the two heads of state jointly witnessed the signing of multiple bilateral cooperation documents in areas such as investment, agriculture, housing and urban construction, and climate change.

Both sides have issued a joint statement on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Gabon.

When President Bongo arrived, 21 salutes were fired in Tiananmen Square, and the salute soldiers lined up to pay tribute. The heads of state of the two countries boarded the review platform, and the military band played the national anthems of China and Gabon.
