President Xi Jinping pointed out that the world is undergoing profound and complex changes. Faced with difficulties and challenges, China and France adhere to true multilateralism, adhere to the correct direction of free trade and economic globalization, and greatly enhance the resilience and vitality of bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Bilateral trade volume and mutual direct investment have steadily increased, cooperation in major projects has been deepened, and cooperation in emerging fields such as green consumption, green energy, and technological innovation has been continuously expanding.

The economic and trade cooperation between China and France not only promotes the economic development of the two countries and enhances people's well-being, but also enhances confidence and stabilizes expectations for world economic recovery. At present, China's economic and social vitality is fully unleashed, and dialogue and cooperation in various fields between China, France, and China Europe are fully activated. We should seize opportunities, strengthen cooperation, and jointly create a better future.

We must adhere to openness and inclusiveness, and deepen bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation. China will speed up the development of its domestic market, vigorously promote high-level opening up, steadily expand the institutional opening of rules, regulations, management, standards, etc., and is willing to share the new opportunities brought about by Chinese path to modernization with countries around the world, including France. China supports French enterprises to effectively use China International Import Expo, China International Trade in Services Fair, China International Consumer Goods Expo and other major open platform to show greater achievements in the Chinese market. We must adhere to independence and autonomy, and safeguard the common interests of China and Europe. China and Europe are the two major forces driving world multipolarity, with broad strategic consensus, common interests, and a deep foundation for cooperation. China Europe cooperation is directly related to the prosperity of the Eurasian continent and the stability of the global landscape. China will continue to view and develop China Europe relations from a strategic and long-term perspective, support the construction of European integration, and support the unity and prosperity of the EU. We hope that the European side will uphold an objective and correct understanding of China and adhere to the positioning of the China Europe comprehensive strategic partnership. There is no winner in a zero sum game. Engaging in "decoupling and chain breaking" cannot hinder China's development process. China is willing to strengthen macro policy coordination with the European side, oppose politicizing and weaponizing economic, trade, and technological exchanges, and jointly maintain the security and stability of the industrial and supply chains, creating a favorable environment for cooperation.

We must adhere to unity and cooperation to promote global common development. Currently, human society is facing unprecedented common challenges, and strengthening unity and cooperation is the only way out. I put forward the initiative of building a community with a shared future for mankind, jointly building the "the Belt and Road" initiative, the global development initiative, the global security initiative, and the global civilization initiative, hoping to let solidarity replace division, cooperation replace confrontation, tolerance replace exclusion, and jointly build a lasting peace, universal security, common prosperity, openness, inclusiveness, clean and beautiful world. This year, China will host the third the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. China looks forward to working with all parties, including France, to deepen bilateral and third-party market cooperation within the framework of the "the Belt and Road" and promote global common development, adhering to the principle of mutual consultation, joint construction and sharing.

President Xi Jinping emphasized that on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2014, I summarized the spirit of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France as "independence, mutual understanding, foresight, and mutual benefit and win-win". This spirit has led China France relations to always be at the forefront of China's relations with major Western powers. Next year, we will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. Faced with the turbulent international situation and the risks and challenges of the post pandemic era, we should adhere to and carry forward the spirit of establishing diplomatic relations between China and France, and promote China France relations to ride the wind and waves, achieve stability and progress. President Macron stated that just now, President Xi Jinping and I have witnessed the signing of a series of important agreements between the two sides, demonstrating the common ambition of France and China in deepening mutually beneficial cooperation and their responsibility to jointly address global challenges. Cooperation is not a one-way street, it should be mutually beneficial and win-win. A friendship that can withstand tests is the true friendship. The French side opposes "decoupling and chain breaking" and hopes to create a more stable and open supply chain. The French side is willing to respect each other, engage in sincere dialogue, accommodate differences, encourage openness and innovation, work together to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between France and China, and promote significant progress in cooperation in various fields between the two sides.
