Recently, the representative of the Silk Road Dialogue Committee walked into the Chinese Embassy in Colombia and held talks with Mr. Lan Hu, the Chinese Ambassador to Colombia. The two sides had in-depth communication on jointly promoting friendly exchanges between China and Colombia and promoting cooperation in cultural tourism and traditional Chinese medicine. The purpose of this meeting is to tell good Chinese stories, spread Chinese culture, implement the "Belt and Road" initiative, and do a good job of "people to people" for the common construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Ambassador Lan welcomed the visit of the Silk Road Dialogue Committee, and affirmed the actions and efforts of the Silk Road Dialogue to tell good Chinese stories, spread Chinese culture and promote Chinese culture to go global. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties on February 7, 1980, Colombia and China have had more than 40 years of exchanges. The two peoples have always adhered to mutual friendship, mutual learning and common progress. The consensus reached by the two countries in 2019 is to expand cooperation in economy and trade, energy, infrastructure, connectivity, digital economy, creative industries and other fields, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples. It is hoped that the cooperation of the Silk Road Dialogue Committee will continue to promote cultural tourism, traditional Chinese medicine and other exchanges and cooperation between China and Colombia, deepen Colombian people's understanding of Chinese culture, and promote people to people and mutual learning of civilizations.
