The current global development process is facing unprecedented challenges, and developing countries, especially fragile countries, have been hit hard. We want to put development at the center of the international agenda, cultivate new momentum for global development, build a global partnership for development, promote stronger, greener and healthier global development, and make development results more equitable for every country and everyone. In this regard, countries should do what they say and post more transcripts instead of shouting slogans. China is willing to strengthen cooperation with the United Nations to jointly promote the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative to achieve tangible results. China will continue to adhere to true multilateralism and firmly support the work of the United Nations.
 

Guterres once again congratulated President Xi Jinping on his reappoint as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee. He said that developing countries are experiencing one crisis after another such as food, energy and climate change, and global development inequality and imbalance are very serious. The United Nations highly appreciates China's adherence to multilateralism. China's global development initiative is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda 2030. China's efforts to help developing countries develop together are unparalleled. The United Nations firmly supports the one-China principle, which is an inalienable red line and must be respected. The United Nations is willing to continue to cooperate closely with China and expects China to play a more important role in maintaining world peace and development.
