Mayor Jia Taibin said that Dunhuang is the Pearl on the Silk Road, and Ji Xianlin, a master of traditional Chinese studies, once praised: "There are only four cultural systems in the world with a long history, vast territory, self-made system and far-reaching influence: China, India, Greece, Islam, and there is no fifth cultural system"; and there is only one place where these four cultural systems converge, that is, China's Dunhuang and Xinjiang, and there is no more second, Dunhuang, as the intersection of Chinese and Western cultures, is a famous historical and cultural city in China, which is inclusive and has brilliant civilization. 

At the same time, Mayor Jia introduced that in 2019, the number of tourists in Dunhuang reached more than 13.3 million, the tourism revenue exceeded 15 billion, and the annual growth rate increased by at least 20%. Dunhuang also invested a lot of human and material resources in urban planning, tourism resource development, scenic spot transformation, service upgrading, etc., making every effort to build an international cultural tourism city in Dunhuang, promoting the integration of tourism and culture We hope to make Dunhuang a shining international business card in the new era through the "Silk Road Dialogue".
